HEY, BEAUTIFUL, IT’S SO NICE TO MEET YOU!
Have you ever had a dream, but felt “I’m not good enough” of having it?
Have you achieved success in your business or career, but secretly you thought “I don’t deserve this”?
Have you been offered a promotion or business opportunity, but thought “I’m not smart enough” to even give it a try?
Have you been invited to share your wisdom or craft, but deep down inside you felt “I’m not confident enough”?
Have you met the love of your life who showered you with love, yet inside a little voice spoke “I’m not worthy enough”?
If you know the “I’m not enough” story all too well, then we’ve got a lot in common.
Because that was me.
The “I’m not enough” monster took over my life! It seemed like everything I tried to get off the ground fell flat. My whole life was out of balance. I was looking externally for love, happiness, worthiness, acceptance, and approval. My measures of success and achievement, were based on what others believed and had created.
As a result, my body started to fall apart. I was stressed, my hormones were out of whack, I wasn’t eating well, felt exhausted all the time and not sleeping well. It all came to a head when I developed a severe, painful eczema on my hands and arms as a result of my immune system going haywire, and serious gut issues. One day my life and my plans came to a screeching halt.
As my world was turned upside down, I said “Enough is enough”!
Enough of feeling “I’m not good enough”.
Enough of doubting myself.
Enough of my fears holding me back.
Enough of playing small.
Enough of not loving myself.
Enough of giving my power away.
So I made a decision, I would find a way to turn my life around and take back my power.
Hey beautiful, I’m so glad you want to find out more about me and my journey…
… years ago, India’s mysticism called my soul. With only a Lonely Planet guide in my hand, I jumped on a plane bound for New Delhi. A life changing, spiritual pilgrimage unfolded. Attended my first Tibetan Buddhism at the Dalai Lama’s residence, Dharmsala and taught English to young Tibetan nuns who had fled over the Himalayas.
Magnetised by Varanasi’s spiritual pulse, watching seekers bathe in the Holy River Ganges, beside burning ghats. Arrived at the Medieval citadel of Jaisalmer as if stepping back in time. Slept under a starry sky while camel trekking through the desert. Immersed myself in a ten day, silent Vipassan retreat, at What Koa Tham, Koh Phangan, Thailand.
Compelled to experience the healing energy of Reiki, was initiated into Reiki I and II. Began my Hatha Yoga studies as way to calm my mind, yet experienced so much more. Became initiated into Tai Chi and Aikido, integrating these into my daily practices.
And my journey still continues …
What I realised is …
It all starts with me.
I realised that if I wanted to experience self-love then I would have to re-build the relationship with myself. I would have to accept, approve and respect myself as I am.
To experience self-love, I would have to forgive myself for all the things I wish hadn’t done, or said, and everything that I hadn’t. I would have to stop being my own worst critic, stop the negative self-talk, and become my biggest fan!
I realised that my happiness and joy all start inside of me, rather than from other people or an external source. My health, wellness, and self-care were an extension of my self-love.
If I wanted to live an empowered life, I would have to face my fears, and kick my doubts to the kerb, instead of being paralysed by them.
I would have to stop playing small, and dimming my light. Instead, I would stand tall, believe in myself, and take back my power.
I would have to take responsibility for my emotions, thoughts, actions, reactions, and mindset, and know how to master these to truly live an empowered life.
It took some time, and a lot of work, but eventually I managed to climb out of the negative spiral I was in and create a relationship with myself and a life that I love.
So I made the big changes in my own life …
Looking back, the day I said “Enough is enough”, was such a pivotal moment for me.
The first step was to get to know and romance this beautiful woman I hadn’t made much time for, in a long time. She is you and me, yet we tend to put her on the bottom of the list.
I dedicated my special ‘me time’ every morning, so I could dream, envision, recall fond memories, be grateful, and plan my future.
I allocated self-care time in my busy schedule so I could have that much needed massage, practice yoga, or some quiet time by the ocean, just to be.
I had a good, truthful, look at what was going on in my head – attitudes, beliefs, concerns, doubts and fears, and began to work on each to gain a greater level of understanding and transformation.
I re-assessed my nutrition, eating habits, physical condition, and exercise routine, removing what didn’t work, and introducing new, easy, ways to nourish my body, and stay fit and strong.
I gained clarity about what was important to me, not to someone else, and built a lifestyle that would bring me freedom, happiness, joy, fun, creativity, and adventure.
I re-defined what a career and success really meant to me, so that it encompassed fulfilment, meaning, contribution, and living on purpose.
I built a support group around me who were my accountability partners, and personal cheering squad rolled into one, that were committed to my success, believed in my dream, and wanted to see me soar.
However, it wasn’t all smooth sailing! There were many stormy days, with rough seas. Much self-reflection, a lot of soul searching, and many tears. Sometimes the way forward was unclear. Sometimes I felt like I’d failed. Sometimes I wanted to give up.
Yet I kept going, committed to creating the change I believed was possible, for us all.
So beautiful, it is possible to live an empowered life!
Through my journey I have learnt that, it is possible to discover your life purpose, infuse meaning into your life, actualise your life vision, and live the amazing life you have dreamt of, for so long.
I realised that by turning up my LoveLight as brightly as possible, I was connecting with other women heart-to-heart, inspiring them to shine brighter.
Where ever you are at right now, I want you to know that it is possible to overcome anything. You can transform your fears, and doubts and any obstacles in your path.
My intention is to help you become empowered in all areas of your life. I’ve experienced firsthand what is really possible, in a short amount of time.
I want to help you do the same…
